My Curry Receipe
Insert 6 paragraphs here of how I love curry and blah blah blah! Let's get the the point. I'm really not precious to ingredients and as for measuring stuff out I just add until it tastes good. Feel free to add the optional stuff if you fancy it you can just go with the chicken/vegtables depending on what you have to hand!
Ingredients #
- Onion
- Garlic
- Ginger (Fresh/Powder/Jar)
- Oil
- x1 Tin of Tomatoes OR Coconut Milk
- Chicken/Vegetables/Paneer
Spices #
- Garam Masala
- Cumin
- Tumeric
- Chilli Powder
- Paprika
- Salt & Pepper
- Ground Corriander
- Curry Powder (optional)
- Cayenne Pepper/Chillis (optional add to your heat preference)
Optional stuff #
- Potatoes
- Spinach
- Red Lentils
- Fresh Corriander (tip: Stick any you don't use in the freezer and chuck it into your next curry.)
Method #
- If you want potaotes (slice into small chunks and parboil for 5/7 minutes to soften)
- Slice Onion & Fry onion (until soft) with ginger + garlic + salt & pepper
- Add remaining spices
- Fry for 2/3 minutes stirring in spices
- Add in any meat/vegetables/paneer etc
- Fry until meat is cooked through
- Sprinkle in Red Lentils at this point if you want to include these
- Fry for a couple of minutes
- Add Coconut Milk/Chopped Tomatoes
- Add Fresh Coriander and Spinach if you fancy it!
- Half way through simmer taste sauce (add any extra spices/seasoning you feel it needs)
- Cover and simmer for 15/20 minutes until lentils/potatoes are soft
- Serve with Rice/Nan Bread/Whatever you fancy!
